History
Established in 1968 by Dr. Marc Reynaud, Recherches Techniques Dentaires (RTD) developed and commercialized the fiber- reinforced composite post and is the world wide leader in this field. For over 50 years, RTD has adapted and developed nnovative materials, equipment, and techniques to exercise complete and caring control of the process. Because innovation, through research and development, is central to its business, RTD re-invests a large percentage of its capital in human resources and equipment. The RTD development team includes dentists, engineers, and technicians specializing in dental materials science and chemistry.
RTD posts are made with a proprietary "pulltrusion" method and are then milled to dimensional specifications with robotic accuracy. Regardless of the shape, size or price-point, quality is never compromised. The patented, X-RO® fiber, developed exclusively for RTD posts, further increased the strength of their posts by 20% and radiopacity by 50%, making them the strongest fiber posts available.
