Adapts the Ambience loupe shield to work optimally with ergonomic loupes. Benefits include:
- Significantly Improved Optics. Some clinicians have reported inferior optics with the Ambience™ shield when they switched to ergo loupes. The adapter allows the visor to tilt to a perpendicular angle with the lens of the ergo loupes and achieve perfect optics again.
- Complete Splatter Protection. Ergo loupes are designed to work with an upright gaze. To compensate, the visor tilts down further to provide complete splatter protection beneath the chin.

Unable to find a face shield that fit his loupes, Dr. Scott Yamaoka, a Vancouver Periodontist, came up with a design in his garage. 58 prototypes later, with the help of his son Zach, a former Dyson Engineer, the Ambience™ face shield was completed.

Frequently Asked Questions
The shield is tested for resistance against all common cleaning chemicals. You can continue to use your current method to clean your shield.
To remove residue, we recommend rubbing your shield with soap and water and shaking to remove any water droplets. Dry the remaining droplets with a soft cloth.
To disinfect, we recommend rubbing your shield with pure alcohol-based disinfectant (IPA min. 75% or Ethanol between 70-80%) then letting it air dry.
*If you’re using a non-pure disinfectant (like CaviWipes): Rinse your shield with soap and water to remove any residue after disinfecting it. Dry using a soft cloth.

1. Take the head harness and visor out of the packaging.
2. Peel the protective film off both sides of the visor.
3. Align the holes on the visor with the bumps on the rim of the head harness and push the bumps through.

1. Feed the top belt strap through the loop of the buckle strap and adjust till the top head strap sits flush to your head.
2. Adjust the pressure dial on the back of the head harness to your liking.
Feel like your head harness is still too big for your head after tightening all the straps? No worries! We have foam spacers that adapt the Loupe Shield to smaller circumference heads. To get a foam spacer, contact hello@ambienceppe.com.
