Feather Flex Kit - Instructions
Recommendation for clip placement:
Better clip placement: When attaching the tube to the hose clip, try placing the clip a little further down from the aluminum piece—about an inch or so. Since the aluminum piece threads into the hose by approximately an inch, it restricts flexibility right at the connection. Placing the plastic clip too close to the aluminum piece can cause unnecessary rubbing and wear.
If the kits are outside the six-month warranty period, there are a couple of alternative options:
- DIY repair: The current system can easily be repaired by untwisting the aluminum piece from the tubing, cutting off the worn section with very sharp scissors, and then retwisting the aluminum piece back onto the tubing.
- Replacement tubing: Ascentcare also offer replacement tubing as an individual purchase for $85 USD.
Sterilization Instructions:
Do not put in autoclave. Run the Feather FlexTM vacuum line with a non-corrosive, pH-neutral enzymatic cleaning solution and perform a surface disinfection with a hospital grade disinfectant wipe between each patient.
