TempoCem® / TempoCem® NE
Temporary luting cement with eugenol.
TempoCem is a zinc oxide, eugenol temporary cement designed for use with all types of provisionals. The presence of eugenol provides a "sedative" effect on the pulp.
- Calming effect due to eugenol
- Optimized adhesion and removal
- Easy and clean removal of excess
- Direct application into the temporary
TempoCem NE zinc oxide non-eugenol cement is ideal for use in cases where a eugenol temporary cement is not recommended. Because any residue of eugenol may inhibit the polymerization of resin materials, the non-eugenol formulation is perfect for cases in which a resin material or a resin reinforced glass ionomer will be used for the final restoration.
With a thin film thickness under 20μm, TempoCem NE provides a precise fit for all provisional restorations as well as cementing final restorations during "try-in."
- Optimal adhesion and removability
- Thin film thickness
- Automatic mixing and direct application

The presence of eugenol provides a "sedative" effect on the pulp.
While it offers optimal stability and adhesion to ensure that it retains the restoration, it is flexible under the crown for easy removal of the temporary. It's easy to use and place during cementation of the temporary.
It is used for cementing a provisional restoration during the period between the tooth preparation and seating of the final crown and ideal for cementing in a final restoration during a "try in" period.

Frequently Asked Questions
TempoCem / TempoCem NE does not contain gluten.
One cartridge of TempoCem (60 gr. = 25 ml) is enough for approximately 40 cementations.
One Smartmix syringe of TempoCem (11 gr. = 5 ml) is enough for approximately 20 cementations.
Yes, the Automix tips and Smartmix tips for PermaCem are identical to TempoCem.
Hardened material in the mixing tips cannot be used anymore and therefore is wasted material. However, the hand-mix method leaves a substantial amount of material on the mixing pad as well. If the material is transferred into an application syringe there is even more material loss. Additionally, during the application it may turn out that too much or not enough material was mixed. This does not happen with an Automix System; therefore, the waste in the mixing tips is less than the waste for hand mix products. However, direct application always saves time and effort.
TempoCem / TempoCem NE does not contain cinnamic acid, dichlorophene, neomycin/neosporin, propylene glycol. It does contain eugenol.
