Ergonomics for Practice Longevity - 6/20/23

Event Details

Learning how to sit and stand should be natural. But when you are operating in a field of vision that is smaller than a tennis ball, and that field is often not in a perfect position, we need to look at instruments, equipment, and body mechanics that will help us maintain our body’s health for practice longevity. Schools teach the basics of proper seating but what about the rest of the body? How do we maintain a healthy body dynamic that will allow us to practice for many long years?

Course objectives

  1. Understanding body mechanics in practice longevity
  2. Identifying posture and hand mechanics
  3. Learning differences between equipment
  4. Discussing instrument options and imperative practice needs
  5. Discussing and demonstrating practical suggestions for “out of the office” and “in the office” body survival techniques
